Are you struggling to get leads with your Instagram account?

Instagram is a powerful social media platform to build both a following and to get leads for your business.  But the number of leads you get relies a lot on the capture page you use… and since Instagram is primarily a mobile device platform then you have to do things a bit differently.

That’s why today we are going to talk about how to make mobile friendly capture pages for Instagram leads.

How to Make Mobile Friendly Capture Pages

In the following video I walk through some do’s and don’ts to making Instagram capture pages.

The following are key points you need to consider when making mobile friendly capture pages.

Check The Capture Page On Your Mobile Device

This was a mistake I made early on: not checking the capture pages on my iPhone to make sure that they looked as good as they did on my desktop.  Mobile-friendly website themes work great, but they can also significantly change the look of the page.

Clear Title

Don’t go for too lengthy of a title, and make sure the font isn’t too big for your mobile device.  This is important to consider to help comply with the other tips because you’ll need room.

Use A Button

Have the visitor push a button in order to get the opt-in form.  When you are collecting Instagram leads, you want to make things look as clean as possible, and you want to make it as easy as possible to do what you want on a mobile device.

Plus when you use a button for the visitor to ask for the opt in form, it has been shown that your opt-in rates will be higher.

Place The Button As Close To The Top As Possible

This was covered pretty well in the video, but this is so important that it is worth mentioning again.  Don’t make the visitor scroll down to see the button to opt in.

Don’t Ask For Too Much Information

Finally on the opt-in form itself, don’t ask for too much information.  Remember they are using a mobile device and they are often a bit challenging to fill in blank fields.

I usually ask for the email and probably the first name… and that’s it.

Final Words on Capture Pages for Instagram Leads

I hope that these simple tips on how to make mobile friendly capture pages help you get more Instagram leads.  Instagram is still one of our favorite lead generating methods.
